This book is very short, but it has some good tips for someone who knows nothing about medical coding and is thinking about getting into the field. The author talks about the education needed, emphasizes the importance of joining professional organizations and networking, and talks about the different types of coding jobs. However, the writing is very amateurish and it does not go into sufficient detail. It also has ads in it for the author's other projects, which I found annoying. I paid $3.99 for the kindle and thought that it was slightly overpriced. I would have been really ticked off it I had bought the paperback for $9.99.
This book answered so many questions that were causing me anxiety. A wonderful resource for one's medical coding career library.
Very informative!
The author doesn’t know how to form proper sentences, which made it difficult for me to read. Doesn’t she have spell check on her computer, or a proof reader? This also made her come off as unprofessional. It was slightly repetitive.The good part was there was a lot of links in there to investigate whether or not coding is a good job for you.
The author seems to have some good advice but I can't read a book with improper sentence structure. The writing is also very repetitive, but not in a helpful organized way. It feels like the book was written in haste and without any real editing. I recommend trying a different book.
This book contains a wonderful on the job book list and resources section. It is geared towards work at home, but has clear and concise advice for the beginner. I would recommend the author's tips for any one researching this career. It explains exactly where to start.
I like getting information right to the point. That was what this book did. As well as supplied links to very helpful resources!! Perfect for one who is trying to learn quickly, what is required of them as a coder. Thank you!!
