This is an interesting adventure about a vampire queen and the many different supernaturals that live in this world. I can’t wait to read the next book.However, the book does end in quite a cliffhanger....even though I really don’t like cliffhangers....I did enjoy the book.towards the end their were a lot of interesting things going on with Erin....little items etc...
I've wish the sex scenes were a little dirtier but overall, I rely enjoyed this book. It is a quick read that leaves you wanting more.
A wonderful read with great characters and plot lines. So hard to find good f/f books (and writers of them) out there, so this is a wonderful find. So excited to read the next book, as well as hopefully other stories this author will turn out!
From the moment of meeting Erin Lewis to this part of the series' end, I couldn't put the book down. Captivated by LucÃa Guerra's many appealing qualities and lured in by the exploration of her world, I've started a journey I desperately want to continue and never stop.Every character featured in this story comes with a background that the readers get a peek at while the plot and budding romance build. Good story pacing swept me away until I suddenly found myself on the last page wishing I could read next book in this already incredible series. If you're looking for a good read about two women immersing themselves in each other's lives while simultaneously preparing for a showdown, look no further than this book. There's plenty of romance, plenty of secrets and pasts to be revealed...and Steven! Trust me when I say you'll love him more than you might have thought possible.All around enthralling story, intriguing characters and enough intimacy and angst to quench all your thirsts. Magnificent, delicious, would read again and again and recommend to a friend. ;)
This story is so much fun. I pre-ordered this months ago and patiently awaited its delivery to my e-reader. I consumed its pages in less than a day. Well, most anyway. I deliberately stopped with 4 chapters left because I didn't want the story to end! I knew there would be a cliffhanger. I ordered the paperback as well because I know I'll be re-reading. Now just when is the next book? I highly recommend this and I will be telling others. The story moves so fluidly I didn't realize I'd been reading for hours. I am now on the edge of my seat awaiting the second book.
Other than some grammar mistakes that seem like either the POV was changed after the book was completed, or that English may not be the first writing language.. this book was very good. Usually repeated grammar mistakes make me frustrated enough not to continue reading, but this book was still good and entertaining and interesting.
I really did love Lucia and Erin as a couple and hopefully mates forever. And I do love books with bad-ass female leads. Now with that being said, I hate when bad-ass characters are always a step behind. And cliffhangers are the worst thing that can happen to a book. I hope Lucia and Erin finally get their sweet, loving and happy ending. And all the evildoers finally get what's coming to them with no more innocent lives lost. Can't wait till book 2.
I enjoyed the romance as well as the battle the Queen faces to hold her throne and her love. The editing, especially incorrect verb tense, needs some work and became a bit distracting for me. I am looking forward to book 2 to see the Queen’s response to what’s happened.
