This is the fourth Bizzy Bear book I have purchased for reading to my grandson. At one and a half years old, he is easily able to move the activities and have fun reading the book. We have had building in my community since he was born and he is enamored of trucks, so this particular Bizzy Bear book is great. It shows all sorts of building being done. He likes the story and playing peek-a-boo with the workers in the house.The story is very simple to read, the activities are fun, and we read it several times a day and then look for trucks outside from his upstairs window. After the truck disappears, this is the book he grabs and then climbs on my lap for storytime.

Like: Purchased entire Imprint collection. All boardbooks contained the expected movable parts we've come to love! All books were received in great condition and were well packaged.Dislike: (Other than some of the book cover photos posted by the Seller(s) indicated no moveable piece in the cover, which caused me to wonder whether or not the particular boardbook contained moveable parts), none.Reason: Gift purchase.

Bizzy Bear is our favorite. Hands down. The books are durable (trust me, my 17 year old is hard on them). They are fun with lots of moving parts and short, interesting stories that rhyme. We have stacks and stacks of books and without fail my toddler always grabs one of these when he sits down to "read." I'm pretty sure we will eventually own every title, because he gets a new one for every major holiday. We ordered "Zookeeper" and "Knight's Castle" to put in his Easter basket this year and he got "Fire and Rescue" and "Let's Get to Work" in his Christmas stocking a few months ago.You really can't go wrong with any of the Bizzy Bear titles.

We have a little boy who is obsessed with Bizzy Bear AND bulldozers /construction vehicles. So this was a no-brainer purchase. This is a must-buy addition to the Bizzy Bear collection. The storylines are simple and interactive (your child can maneuver things like scooping and dumping as well as lifting the fork lift). This story is great for children as young as 5 months because of the vibrant colors and works for kids up to three years old!

We discovered Bizzy at the library and ordered as many of these online. The 12-month-old loved them for a year. Unfortunately, loved these books to pieces. It was a matter of time before he would try to tear at the pieces. A few times I could repair them with glue and packing tape. Out of 5 of the books, I think 2 of them are still in ok condition. I would still get them because of how much the child loves to interact with the movement and they are sturdily made. It is just that if you are not staring at the child every second that they are with the book (or any book) it is likely they will try to tear at it.

I got this one and the rocket ship one for my 3 year old nephew for Christmas and he absolutely loves them! He loves how he can move the stuff on the pages and it makes him feel like he can read even though all he says is "busy bear busy bear" lol its precious and if he is happy I am happy. I would absolutely recommend these

We have all of the Bizzy Bear books and the 2- 3 year olds love them. The pages and tabs are sturdy and the topics are perfect for the age group. We have read them until we have worn some out. This is actually a replacement from a hand me down copy from the other grandchild. We love construction sites.

Simple. Entertaining for toddlers. Well made.

I downloaded and finished James Thomas' book in one afternoon. It is in his words "extra ordinary." The book isn't just about hair, it is about commitment, perseverance, pride in one's work and having good business sense. It is about being motivated to be more than the best you can be and how doing "extra ordinary" things will reap rewards. This is an easy and interesting read. It was well worth the three hours of my time.There are many great lessons in this piece. In Chapter 11 James says, "The extra effort that you must put forth throughout your career does have its rewards. These rewards are byproducts of your success. You will be given opportunities and a freedom that you otherwise would not have." This is so true and James demonstrates this concept with examples and quotations throughout the book."Steve Harvey's Barber Says It All" is about hair and yet it isn't. I have purchased several books on Japanese Gardening. I am not interested in the gardening style itself. However, I am researching the uses of mosses and lichens in the yard. This book has become my all time favorite gardening book. I learned about the history of a nation, it's people and it's gardens, and how they all intertwine to make the garden what it is today.The drawings are fascinating, and the photographs are beautiful while being perfectly in line with the text. The use of plants, stones and rocks, sand and water within the confining borders of a property are all completely covered in a logical, thoroughly interesting format.For me, the combination of diagrams, photographs and intelligent historical documentation made this book perfect. The discussions of planting materials and arrangements were clear and concise. Although I don't plan on creating a Japanese Garden I understand how it was done in ancient times and how it is done today. I will reread this book many, many times.

I've been reading a lot about Japanese gardens, but I am certainly still very much an amateur and a newbie. That said I think this book was the most informative and the most helpful to date in terms of understanding what it is that appeals to me about the gardens in Japan. I could never hope to recreate such a place where I live, but I can begin to see how I might have similar appeal and sensations in my own garden. And in a very interesting and palatable way, I learned much about Japanese history that I probably would not have paid attention to in any other context. This is a book I am happy to own and I know I will reread it many times over the years to come, though of course there are opposing views and I will try to learn about those as well.

This beautifully illustrated book provides a great introduction to the historical styles of Japanese gardens. For those who are interested in planting a Japanese garden, there are three chapters on design which convey the essential elements of the gardens -- the book encourages us to consider the essence of the garden rather than copy the look of the garden. It was very helpful in designing my Japanese garden.

A beautiful thoughtful book on the history and evolution of this art form. The photos and drawings weave a visual story equal to the charmingly written tale.

The book is a very in depth treatise on the effects of historical influences upon the Japanese garden design. It is not a how-to, but more of a why certain design elements came into being and became part of the Japanese cultural experience.

This is the most serious and complete of the 10 books I own covering Japanese Gardens. Everything is carefully laid out and well written. The photos by Haruzo Ohashi, drawings (by the author), and design by John Einarsen are noteworthy by themselves, but as a whole blend and complement the text perfectly. It ends with an excellent glossary, timeline, and even a plant list. As his drawings clearly show, Marc Peter Keane is a man who looks deeply into nature and design and thinks about what he sees. As a keen gardener and lover of art history, I've visited about 20 gardens in Japan, and this book, more than any other, gives the reader a clear idea of what these gardens feel like, not only a dry description of who did what when and with what materials. This isn't a do it yourself manual for westerners who want to start dropping rocks and spreading gravel in their gardens. Deeper, more difficult questions are answered - like why do these gardens look like they do, and how have they changed over the years. If the gardens he designs are as good as this book, I'd love him to create a garden at Galeazza one day.

Of the two books I bought to study for the LSAT, this one is WAY better. Great explanations. Not overly wordy. Cites references. Has great stats about how often different types of problems appear, so you know how to prioritize each game type.

I do wish there were more practice on your own logic puzzles in here, but that's just my learning style. They really break down each puzzle and puzzle type so if that's what you're looking for, this is your book.

I haven't had the opportunity to study all the content of this book, as I just received it. However, looking through it to see what material is covered in this book certainly shows a book dedicated to the logic games of this test. I also purchased the "LSAT Unlocked 2018-19" book in addition to this, and I'm glad I purchased both. Although the "LSAT Unlocked 2018-19" covers logic games (and every other topic of the LSAT), this book covers strictly logic games. Since logic games are one of the most difficult parts of the LSAT, I was glad I purchased this book in addition to the "LSAT Unlocked 2018-19." I highly recommend both.

I don’t care for this book. There are hardly any practice questions. The strategies that the publisher explains is excessive, and I feel that it contributes to poor time-management. I took a practice LSAT after a few weeks with this book, and I found myself spending too much time diagramming and making tables than critically analyzing.

With this book I can enjoyed the easiest way to understand the question.

I tried to like this book. After all, I bought it and depend on it to obtain a good score. But has serious flaws. The examples are helpful as are the exercises that take you on a step-by-step process in analyzing and dissecting the arguments in specified ways to answer specific question types.However, the problem is that they are over simplified. I get so many questions wrong on the practice test because so many don't fall into the easy types this book prepares you for.For instance in Parallel Reasoning questions, they provide a few tips, but they are only general rules of thumb (ie: the conclusion should be of the same type in the answer choice, and also the answer usually matches the conclusion in the stimulus whether negative or positive.) But you can't rely on this as many don't fit the pattern. Also, other methods/books teach you that these questions need to be diagrammed, and these other books teach you HOW to diagram them.Additionally, I have read other books that devote entire chapters on the difference between a causal action and a conditional action which are not even mentioned in this book. These other books even explain the "5 classic methods for attacking causal action questions" which again is not even mentioned in this book.This may be a good book for those just starting out and need an easily-explained book that is not too challenging. But to fully understand the deeper levels of reasoning and getting the maximum points, this book falls short.

About the Author

Luigi Pirandello was born of rich, middle-class parents in Girgenti (Agrigento), Sicily, on 28 June 1867. As a young man he studied at the Universities of Palermo, Rome, and Bonn, where he gained his doctorate in 1891. His first published work, Mal giocondo (1889), was a collection of poems. It was followed by other volumes of poems, critical essays, novels, short stories, and over forty plays. In 1894 he married Antoinetta Portulano, the daughter of his father's business associate. Financial disaster and a severe illness brought on by the birth of their third child drove his wife to a hysterical form of insanity. Only in 1918, when her presence in the family constituted a real threat to their daughter's safety did Pirandello agree to have his wife committed to an asylum. The enormous emotional strain he felt at this time is reflected in the intense pessimism found in his work. Pirandello's first real success in the theatre came about in 1921 when Six Characters in Search of an Author was performed. Henry IV followed the next year and confirmed his position as a playwright. In the following years Pirandello travelled abroad extensively. He embarked on a career as a producer and in 1925 founded his Art Theatre in Rome. He was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1934 and died in Rome on 10 December 1936.Mark Musa is a professor at the Center for Italian Studies at Indiana University. A former Fulbright and Guggenheim Fellow, Musa is the author of a highly acclaimed translation of Dante's Divine Comedy.

I've owned a dozen copies over the years, and needed a new one. This is so brilliant, I don't have words to describe it. I worked in L.A. theatre and know the script well -- I also taught scriptwriting at a local L.A. campus and always used this as an example of brilliant writing.

A classic by an extremely imaginative author. It is translated from Italian which is evident at places in somewhat stilted language. But quite readable excepting of course the complex and often ambiguous relationships among the characters.

The real beginning of the absurdist movement. It is actually a philosophical argument between Plato and Aristotle put into the framework of a play. Nominalism vs. Realism in the aftermath of the First World War..

I enjoyed reading this play. I'd love to see it performed on stage.

Honestly, I found it just too depressing and the language too old fashioned and verbose to be very enjoyable, though it was undoubtedly well written.

Existentialism at its best in this play. Six lost characters looking to play out the drama of their lives find a manager willing to hear them out, but he can't possibly grasp the reality of their situation. Well written and enjoyable as it is painful to read.

Pirandello asks us to consider the idea that we are looking for an author to write, or rewrite our lives. But we each want to be our own author, characters and actors with complete control of our story. In this classic the various characters get out of hand - they cannot be controlled!
